Since 1989, The College has hosted Annual Scientific Meetings (ASM) with The Hong Kong Ophthalmological Society. This yearly event offers an excellent platform for updates and exchanges of professional knowledge, and offers opportunities at various levels for young budding ophthalmologists and matured fellows to participate and learn. Achievements in research is recognized by selection of Best Poster and Oral Presentations. The College also collaborates ASM with other international and local professional organizations to co-host various regional and international meetings and conferences. Examples of collaborations include World Ophthalmology Congress (2008), World Glaucoma Congress (2015), Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress (2017), Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Conference (2018), Asia-Pacific Vitreoretinal Society Congress in conjunction with Asia-Pacific Ocular Imaging Society Congress and Asia-Pacific Society of Eye Genetics Annual Meeting (2023).
